These Streets Will Make You feel Brand New

I just finished booking my flight to Rochester and I am very excited. Also, I was offered an x-mas bonus (which I probably could use) or a trip to Aruba. I chose Aruba. My new goals are to soak up as much experience and adventure as humanly possible. Here's my theory- the more experience you have in life, the more you have to compare it to your current situation. If you've been with one man you'll always wonder what the rest are like, if you've had one job you'll always wonder what a better one would offer you.. therefore the more you have to compare, the more you will either appreciate it or be encouraged to change it. I've been trying to find these positive catalysts to spice things up... a little thyme never hurt no one.

In other news, I just bought my very own copy of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas and got every x-mas scented candle out there. I also purchased Andrea Bocelli's first holiday album and I plan on getting a tree this week. I like the fact that I'm starting my own traditions. I feel like the few traditions that are still in place have basically mutated into a 4 day whirlwind of last minute gift shopping for people we don't know and freezing my tush off in California. So to welcome these new traditions I've decided to start the holiday season a little early to truly enjoy it for what it's worth. I will be busting out the X-tina Album tomorrow morning, don't you worry.

I'm learning by mistake (as usual) that life is not only about living for the moment and embracing today. It's also about prolonging those things for tomorrow's success and carrying them on to the next day after that.

"People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing. That’s why we recommend it daily."
